Today mom came and stayed with me so that Tuan can work. We took Turner to her first doctor's appointment. Her weight is still a bit down, but they are going to let us just keep breastfeeding since it is getting better everyday and she is peeing. We just need to watch her urine output and feed as often as possible. The lactation specialist also said it might be helpful to make sure she gets some sleep in her bed each day with no stimulation. It seems that just like us, even if she seems totally out of it, if there are lights or noises around she is probably not getting the quality sleep she needs.
Turner was in the 50th percentile for her height and head circumference, and in the 25th percentile for weight. Hopefully the weight score will go up next time!
When we got back from the doctor, Melanie and Misty were here! They visited for a few hours, it was nice to catch up!
The problem today is that I was up with Turner at 4am and didn't get to go back to sleep so I am really exhausted and didn't want to miss out on visiting and stuff to sleep. Tuan was pretty upset with me for not resting while mom was here, but sometimes it is hard to fall asleep during the day!
Later that night, Bo, Shannon, and Linda came over to visit. It was great to see them again!
